Everyone has a past. There are those who would love to tell you of their past, where they came from ,etc etc. Then there are those who refuse to even look you in the eye and tell you that they wish never to speak of it. It is your choice whether you speak of it or not. For sometimes, it may seem good, until you speak of it out loud.
Mind..body..and soul. That’s all you need to survive. Mind, intelligence, and thought process unto which you can think of how to live. Body, a place where your soul can be, so that others may see and hear of your great glory. Soul, the one that ties it all together, and when you die, that’s all that will be left…your Soul
Heart pounding in sync with your hooves. Sand colored foam seeping on your neck, matching that of a waves’. Breathing, it comes naturally, and yet naturally you feel as if you’re taking your last breath. The irony smell of the sticky red blood that trickles from every little open area on your body. The flash of whiteish yellow of the teeth that are bearing at you, causing those little open areas. Fighting. It is good for the soul some would say…
Now for your body, that’s a different story. Those little open areas turned to battle scars, which, if you had a lot, ruined your moral, because others would look at you differently. Then you would have to explain them all to them, and then mentally you would break down. Not to mention that they covered over white hair, and that wasn’t the best if you were a dark colored horse.
Now back to mental. Again, explaining then could mentally break you down; you’d get depressed and wouldn’t be able to live with yourself, nor others around you. Then that could physically damage you, and eventually kill you, now you wouldn’t want that would you?
See with the responsibility of leading, and leading at such a high rank, you must fight for those around you. Your kin, love and even those who you may dislike. With the fighting responsibility, may come death, and yes sounds terrible, but if you do not die in vein, you will be loved, and remembered and that is the best reward for fighting, along with winning.
It was dark, not as in dark without the sun, nighttime dark, but dark as in, black clouds filled the sky and lightning shot through them, showing the way towards hell. Everyone was around. Some for one side, some for the others. Mine, the other, was smaller than the one side. For the leader of the one side had destroyed most of my side, how could family do that to each other?
We had begun battle a long time ago, always fighting each other, growing up near each other, it was a constant competition to see who was better. In the end, I was, in the end, I chose the path of good, while he, mad, chose the path of evil. Disappearing into the night, never to return until now. Mangy looking, dirt covered his coat, so many battle scars, it had mentally destroyed, my only brother.
Both of out teeth had sunken into each other’s bodies. My teeth under his neck, his teeth, atop my mane. Both on our hind feet we fell forward at each other lashing out. This was no more a sibling rivalry. This…was live or die.
Our battle lasted quite sometime. It was now pitch black dark, you could only see up by the lighting’s flash. The salty sweat from our bodies stung our open wounds. We were both tired, and badly beaten. The rain finally started to fall, cooling up down, steam illuminated off our bodies. I looked to him, silence in the air. It had to be over.
I turn my back and then…nothing. I remember nothing. It was morning when I remembered it all. Waking to see only no one around me. Waking to learn that…it was over. We had gone our separate ways? No I turned around to look at the battle scene behind me. His body lay unconscious. I had murdered.
It was then that I sprinted, fast and far away from the home. Not even saying goodbye to my love. I needed to leave, for I had chosen that it was better if I did not lead them to a life of battle. A life of battle would be better for those who chose it, not those who were forced.
I had left there a few moons ago, and now ended up here. I had begun a search, for the best placing for me, and I only knew that, leading all the lights would be best, for they would choose on their own to fight for their rights, to not let any darks come between our lives.
I stopped under a tree, was I alone? I hoped not. I had scented others around here, but maybe it was just a dream. The blades from the earth were as tall as my knees. I heard the sound of water, and the rustling of none equine animals around me. My brownish orbs searched. Seeing no others like myself, I kept moving forward.
I was now in the middle. Looking to my left I saw a few mountains. Some were nicely colored green; a few others were stenched with the dark smelly scent. To my left was a vast flat land with trees scattered around, some in bunches some standing alone.
I moved my way towards the trees more. I knew I had been walking for sometime, but finally, the water caught my attention. It was smaller river, but it flowed and fast. I stepped down and in it; almost my whole body was emerged. I lowered my head down, sipped of the cool water. Towards me it was clear and nice looking, past me, it was become stained with blood and dirt.
I finally stepped out of the water and onto the dry land. My coat now clean, and my wounds washed. I walked back out towards the open area. I picked a spot and let my pillars fall below me. Laying down to rest, for what seemed to be a very long time since I had. I was tired and I knew I was safe here. I was not about to leave. I was going to prove myself, to them anyways, that I could lead them into any battle and not leave them there.
I flattened myself out, laid my dial down on the earths greater floor and slowly nodded off into a deep…deep sleep. Thinking about the future and what it would hold for me. Hopefully this new place will hold many great things for me. I was ready for any challenge. Ready for any love, or enemy.
