Cuts me to the bone...there's no air in my lungs...when I get suffocated, save me...
I grazed in silence as the ravens flew past and the trees remained silent. I am a wild spirit, I belonged in the wilderness and absolutely no one could tame me, I ran with the wind and danced with the river and flew with the eagle. I don't care for the civilised life as long as I am free. Light Imperialsim had been defeated in mnay partial battles but it remained a considerable force in this world and I knew we could not excpect its final defeat anytime soon. So, why were still fighting?

THE ROAD TO FAME IS NEVER ENDING... *
There was a 'no vacancy' sign on her door - DO NOT ENTER. The crowds continued to file in line, but she sneered at their mere existence. The cameras lined the glittering gold fencing that rested along the red carpet as far as the eye could see, and she sighed into the stuffy air of her cramped Hollywood room...
... all that glitters was never gold.
STYX gazed from a cliff ledge, nestled amongst the clouds high, high above, observing the space of land (from crashing, ocean surf to desert terrain...) that was her Kingdom. It was definitely a lot to take in, but she was humbled at the mere sight of it all. A few seagulls chattered between themselves as they brushed by her right side, diving and weaving their way along upon their wings of satin ivory.
As she followed the birds, her eyes fell quietly upon her adopted Blaze. It was there that he grazed in the silence and solitude that was Amradon. Indeed, it was peaceful and serene at times... but often, STYX grew bored of wandering within the borders of the Kingdom. Occasionally, she would venture the depths of Vespera, Facilis and Defaeco, associating herself amongst its pleasant inhabitants... but dare she traverse the domains of the Dark? But of course! Acerbus had yet to see its first face, however Cruentus and Zabulus had begun to surface with life. In time, she would definitely visit for proper introductions.
"Blaze."
Her voice was stern and yet, at the same time, soothingly calm. The blackened mare stepped from the top of the cliff ledge, clutching its grooves and edges with her jagged hooves, carefully sliding and stumbling along its' face. Chunks of debris slid out from beneath her, but her focus went undisturbed - a subtle gleam flickering in her auburn eyes. Once to its base, STYX leapt coyly from its grasp and tread slowly in his direction. He looked as though he was deep in thought, and STYX couldn't help but wonder what might be bothering him.
"What is troubling you, child?"
And she finally came to a halt near him. Arching her neck, STYX fell silent beneath the mid-afternoon sun...

Sell a lie to buy the truth...Blaze looked up at the ebony mare that had comfronted him. Nothing really, just...things. Everything. Blaze snorted as the wind tickled his nose. The salt was tangy and fresh in the air, very welcoming but, then again, very eerie. Amradon was not for the faint hearted and nether was their neighbour Arizxon. He wondered what lied over the borders of this land he called home, more horses obviously but other than that. This place was untouched by human hands, he had never seen one, he had only ever heard of the strange two legged beings. Apparently they were very intelligent but they couldn't be that bad.
So, what brings you here STYX? I looked at my "mum" with curious eyes, she was proud of her kingdom but I to had responsibilities like mum and dad. This would one day be my kingdom, mine to defend but that was hopefully not for some time. I looked at the cobalt sea before me, would I ever go to Arizxon? I hoped so. I began to walk forward slowly, I wasn't in any hurry.
Things were so confusing, I wasn't sure whose side I was on. Dad was dark and mum was just..well, mum. This fight was eternal, never ending. Why? Why did we fight? It was meaningless. If Dad heard me say this he'd have my head on a plater and I knew that for a fact. He'd literally murder me. I looked at the grassy plain before me, my home, my furure kingdom in awe...

-- O S I R I S ` [glow=red,2,300]Brute slid quietly across the land, as a shadow would. His audits flicking to hear the sounds of his mate, and son speaking. Pillars carried him swiftly, silently, towards the sound waves, as if he were not even there, he made no sound. Hus muscular bodice paused behind Styx before leaping from the declined terrace, next to her and in front of his heir. "What's on your mind, child?" Blaze was what was left of Osiris' past life. And although the brute treated him harshly at times, he showed his soft side when necessary. And although he knew his son desperately wanted to go see the outside world, he couldn't risk letting the last of what once was get hurt, or worse, killed. He was determined that the harsher he treated the young colt, the tougher he would grow to be, and the more able he would be to fight off any threat. But for now, that was Osiris' job. He turned to Styx, a slight bow preceding his greeting "Afternoon, m'lady" Although a harsh brute, he was polite to his mates. Always. Unless the pair happened to be engaging in foreplay. He liked to play rough, but otherwise, he respected the minx that existed in his family. A lesson he's learned from Blaze's mother, who'd kicked his ass for being cocky and disrespectful towards her as a juvenile bachelor. However, the whores who laid themselves at his feet just for a chance to be with royalty deserved no respect, and he had no pity in them whatsoever. To him, fornication was a good thing for him, but also showed lack of class within the kingdom. In fact, he'd planned to kill Blaze's dam after mating with her, but there was something about her that made him refrain from such. Optics scanned the form of Blaze, examining him. He was so much like his mother, both in looks and emotions... in fact, thats what scared him most... if she wasn't able to protect herself... how was he to know that Blaze would be?[/glow]

The same autumn breeze that tickled Blaze's nose groped her ebon frame and tousled her forelock into her vision. He spoke, and she nodded... the silence drawing on between them. Her gaze wandered elsewhere as she contemplated a response - Amradon was certainly plenty for a child to take in, let alone the idea of presiding over it. But he had some time before that, she and Osiris were going nowhere fast. His following question broke her from her thoughts, those delicate eyes befalling him once again. A smile brushed across her face, and she took a step forth to press her muzzle comfortingly against the groove of his shoulder.
"The stars..."
It was true, her gaze rising to stare at the vacant skies of blue. She would meet with them, time and time again... when the sun slipped beyond the eastern mountain tops and the moon hung quietly in the northern sky. The confusion of life itself was evident in his face, it tended to crease with a tension that STYX recognized all too well.
The silence was broken, however, when Osiris approached. STYX was still unsure where things stood with him - although the pair ruled over the entirety of Arizxon, there was never that fairytale romance that STYX so often thought of. His heart still belonged to another - Blaze's true mother. This did not bother her, though, for STYX was a fairly hard-headed creature when she wanted to be, and there were much more important things to worry about. The magnificent stallion approached and bowed to her, and she returned the favor with a dip of her crown.
"Good afternoon, Osiris. Making your rounds, I presume?"
Following her words, STYX allowed a brief chuckle to escape her lips. She observed in silence as Osiris observed Blaze, could see the worries that he might have tried to hide. My Starchild allowed a soothing huff to escape her nostrils, tossing her forelock from her eyes. Sometimes, the King worried too much... what is life if you can't live it?

This is your destiny...Embrace it...
Blaze looked at his sire, then his dam. The stars? Right, they're so interesting... He then gave a snort again. His father and him had, how could you say, hate-hate relationship? His dam was a bit better but still not the best of them all. His real dam looked after him, treated him nicely, showed him fighting was, usually, none the less but a waste of time. He knew he couldn't tell his father this, his sire would probably kill him without a doubt. He looked at his sire in the eyes. I know i'm perfect but no need to stare. He always had an attitude with Osiris, he felt he needed to with his sire. He planned to sneak away from this land, at least for a day or two, to explore Arizxon. He was curious and wanted, no, needed to know what lain beyond...

-- O S I R I S ` [glow=red,2,300]The brute nodded to the minx, her casual greeting was pleasant. And reminded him of blaze's mother. Although alot of things did these days. "As usual everything seems fine within the common lands. Although theres something strange in the air..." He looked off into the sea, pondering as he had been over what could be the cause of the strange difference he'd felt within his kingdom. This thought was interrupted by his spawn, leaking arrogant words from his maw again. It had seemed that ever since his mother died theyd never gotten along. It was definite that Osirus hadn't a clue about raising young ones, as his childhood had been a bit... off.. so he couldnt go off experience. But either way, the colt's attitude was not to be tolerated when used towards a minx. Especially his new mother. "Blaze." He said in warning, pulling back his ears slightly to show his seriousness. Perhaps the source of the attitude was the foal's anxiousness to go out and explore the lands. Osirus knew the colt had been yearning to have a look around, but the mere thought of bringing the colt near any sort of danger (especially with that strange little change in the atmosphere that seemed to be growing nearer). It seemed the brute was torn between protecting his son and pleasing him...[/glow]
